Broomall, PA (Delaware County)
Broomall is a community lying on the southern edge of the Main Line. It is located at the intersection of the West Chester Pike and Veterans Memorial Highway/I-476. This location allows quick access to the west side of Philadelphia as well as other major business areas in South-East Pennsylvania. The area consists mostly of upscale neighborhoods permeated with gorgeous trees that burst with vibrant color in the fall. The Ridley Creek State Park and Springton Reservoir are located close by, as are several high-quality golf courses and country clubs. A member of the Marple Newtown School District, Broomall has three elementary schools, a middle school and a high school all within a few miles. Additionally, there are many private and Montessori schools located within the immediate vicinity. Broomall can be characterized by its highly-educated residents, with more people working in technological and math-related fields than 95 percent of other US communities. Over three quarters of Broomall residents are families, and over a third of all adults hold bachelor degrees or higher. A healthy mix of backgrounds exists in Broomall, too. Many residents are first or second generation Asian immigrants; other residents claim Italian, Irish, German, Greek and Polish heritage.
