Haverford is a community filled with high-end housing and well-off residents. The community of Haverford is located just south of Lower Merion on the opposite side of West Lancaster Avenue/ US HWY 30. Residents have access to multiple light rail stations to commute directly into Philadelphia and any nearby areas. Haverford College calls the community its home. The prestigious institution was founded in 1833, and its location within the community helps color the local culture. One of the best private schools in the entire nation, The Haverford School for Boys, is also located within the community. An abundance of country clubs and golf courses surround the area of Haverford, and many small parks dot the area within. Haverford’s historical colonial and Victorian homes often draw residents to live there, but there are also many upscale condominiums available.
