Devon, PA (Chester County)

Devon is a community located along the Main Line about 15 miles west of Philadelphia. Formally part of the Devon-Berwyn census-designated place until 2010, the community is a series of neighborhoods characterized by medium to high-income residents with professional jobs. The Devon Horse Show is hosted here annually and is the oldest and largest outdoor dressage horse competition in the US. Thanks to a SEPTA rail station and the Veterans Memorial Highway located close by, Devon residents have access to convenient commuting options to Philadelphia and the surrounding economic areas. Devon is a member of the award-winning Tredyffrin-Easttown school district, and it also has the prestigious all-boys Catholic Devon Preparatory School within the vicinity. For entertainment, the community also has many shopping centers and locally-famous restaurants in a variety of cuisine styles hailing from all over the world. The Footlighters Theater also offers community theater productions year round. To get out into the elements momentarily, Teegarden Park, Jenkins Arboretum and Tredyffrin Park are also located just a few minutes to the north.
